I am looking for a holder for an LED that I can mount on a plate and screw in to secure.
the LED should not be able to be pushed in if anyone were playing with it.
this will be located in a high traffic area and I am worried that people will mess with it.
I am hoping for something flush or recessed. the less it sticks out the better.
I may be able to use one of those black plastic rings, just hoping for metal.
Have you searched for "5mm led panel mount" (or whatever) on eBay?
Radio Shack - likely on sale too with them entering into bankruptcy.

these are the ones I keep seeing.
these seem to look like buttons and expect would get pushed.
anyone use them with flat top LEDs ?
The LEDs insert into the front of most LED holders, so they can't be pushed thru the bezel. Only the leads can go thru.
