LED lights without breadboard?

Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to control multiple LEDs without a breadboard. I'm new to Arduino and my first project is going to be a simple box with an LED in each corner that will turn on using either a push button or a photoresistor, activated by the lid opening.

All tutorials I've found have LEDs connected directly to a breadboard but I would need mine to be about to be extended out to the corners of the box. Can I use wires to extend them from the breadbox or is there a way to make a circuit of LEDs without it?

you sure can solder them at the end of a short wire. make sure you don't forget the current limiting resistor
there is no need for a breadboard in general, they are meant to make prototyping simple without soldering.

if you don't have a soldering iron, you could wrap the wires around the "legs"
