Hi i am very new to the arduino world and about a month ago i decided to build a led matrix. i built the matrix and used two max7221 chips to control it. the matrix is 8 x 12 so each max chip controls 6 x 8. when i use the matrix it works fine the leds that are supposed to light up do, bu all the other leds in the column also light up just not as bright. This only happens when i use both sides of the matrix, if i only establish one side of the matrix the extra light will go away. how can i get rid of the light while using both sides?
How do you have everything wired up?
I wired it using this schematic

Is your own matrix or a purchased one?
Homemade
Hi,
when people report this kind of error there is usually one (or more) Leds wired in reverse. Is there a way you could test this with your matrix? Maybe marks on the Led's for anode or cathode?
