Hello Arduino community 
I´m a Chilean artist, living in San Pedro de Atacama,
I would like to get assistance for a project I´m working on. It´s about an interactive installation, in which I will full cover the walls of a room (2x3mtrs long and 2,5 mtrs height approximated ) with RGBs Led, that will be separated one from the other by 20-40cm (I´m calculating using about 1000 to 2000 Leds).
The main idea is that the lights can change whit factors like, the people movement, their dress color, position and congregation in the room. I was thinking in using a security camera, so the leds will be a video display like, but fragmented so the image become more subjective, and atmosphere like than screen like.
I don't know if the explanation I give you is enough for you to make an image of my idea. 
Anyway, I would like for you guys to give some advice, on which electronic I should use: boards, cables, kind of leds, computers, camera or sensors etc. If you can give a detailed list I will be eternally grateful.
Sorry for asking for your time and knowledge, but I have no training in electronic rather than switching a light bulb, and I would love this project to become true.
