LED strip choosing help

Hi,

I currently have the adalight system but using my own program on that set-up now. I want to buy allot more LEDs but don't really no what works without changing this set-up massively and so on.

I want to buy strip LEDs at a good length, where each LED is separately controllable. And hopefully the controller has a library for Arduino as im using the WS2801 controller right now.

I was looking at these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tingkam®-Waterproof-5050RGB-Lighting-lighting/dp/B00H7T7XA2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422371231&sr=8-1&keywords=RGB+led+strip
Thanks.

I can't see how those LED can be controlled individually. I read it as the whole strip showing up as the same colour.
They are simply too cheap to be individually controllable. I just bought a 4M strip of 60 LEDs / meter individually controllable and the cheapest price I could find was $44 from China.

Look at WS2811, WS2812 strips here. One is chip + LEDs, the other is Chip/LEDs as one package.

Check adafruit.com for the library.
