HI everyone
I've been tasked with building an LED curtain/wall to display video. We're on a low budget and it's my first time building this so I'm looking for a few tips. I need to display video from VJ mixing software. I've seen some things on various sites like Hackaday etc but still have a few questions.
I'm looking to use WS2811 LED strips (hopefully 60 per meter but probably 30/m, low budget...) . The curtain needs to be 3.5m x 1.5m.
I'm assuming I would connect all the strips (approx 80 meters) together into one long strip. Is this all controlled through one Arduino board? What would be the best way to use a video source? Can I have an HDMI input? I've seen that there can be a problem with RAM, is this relevant when using a video source and if so how could I overcome it? IS there any other Arduino related things that could be a problem that I haven't asked?
Physically building it won't be a problem. I want to make sure I get the right tech. Not specifically Arduino related but if anyone have any tips on power supplies or other problems I might run into, it would be greatly appreciated!
