Hi All,

I wondered if anyone has used an Arduino and a led powered optic link to create a network?

The sega model 3 system (sega datona 2) arcade system uses a TCP/IP LED-powered optic link for networking.

It uses 2x toslink cables.

I'm looking to capture the packets sent from the machine in Wireshark.

The goal is to send the collected data to an emulator project.

It is unlikely that an Arduino is fast enough. Toslink seems to cover a wide range of bit rates from 3 mega bits per second up to giga bps.

If you are lucky, it might be on the slow end. But it is likely to be encrypted too.
