I've been trying to program something to blink some leds (Daft Punk helmet, by the way).
I've heard about the MAX7219 and I am lost. Could you help me? I am not really good at programmation.

I have a Daft Punk example program as part of my MD_MAX72xx library (links below). This has been used by a few people now and could give you a starting point if it is not exactly what you need.
