Hello all, this is my first post here. A neighbor gave me a Leonardo to play with and I bought a enc28j60 on ebay. I have been working on it all week and think I finally got it wired right. Was able to get my ip, gateway, etc. I have searched the net till my eyes are bleeding. All I want to do is, When my home alarm trips (from a output on the board) I want to send a simple SMS to my phone. I see a lot of projects but not just a simple one that does this. Can someone point me in the right direction? Please don't say google is my friend. I have been googling till.... well you know. Thanks, Mike ham radio N0xd
Does your phone have an email address? Many providers, notably Verizon, provide an email address for each phone which will gateway an email to an SMS. Then you just need to access an SMTP server and send email to your phone's address.
