Librairies for serial.read and serial.available

Hello,

I have trouble finding the librairies for serial.read and serial.available. I looked for it and I found this :

https://github.com/arduino/Arduino/tree/master/libraries

but I dont have any clue about the folder in which I will find what I'm looking for...

I used the research function and I found a similar topic :

but I'm afraid that the answers don't help me at all...

These are the only two functions I need for my project, in which I use WinAVR to program.
