Hey!
I built a calculator that was controlled using an IR-remote a few weeks back but when i updated my arduino IDE to the latest version (1.6 I think) all my libraries disappeared and now i cant get the code to compile even though i've downloaded all the libraries specifically the lcd libraries.I've downloaded 2 different libraries concerning the lcd (not sure which one i used previously) and none of them worked.
Did I mention that the IRremote library wasn't working at first but then I renamed the folder and tweaked it a bit.(as you can see its still not orange).
all my libraries disappeared
They wouldn't have, if you had installed them in the proper place. The core library folder is NOT the proper place.
Get someone else to type for you. All your handwaving is conveying no useful information. Put your hands in your pockets while you tell your friend what to type. Specifically what libraries you downloaded, where EXACTLY you installed them, and EXACTLY what the problem is. Aside from the fact that the library name is not orange. That is a useful function when it does work.
So....you're suggesting i put the libraries somewhere more preferable like what?
Plz explain.
But installing libraries is a bit difficult because there is no "one way to do it",everybody gives you different instructions on how to install a library and what really gets my nerves is when people giving online tutorials about a library, that they know isn't good, act like only their library will work...
So...can you plz guide me a bit on how to install the libraries and organize them?Or you can just send me a link to tutorial you think includes everything i need to know?
Hope I'm not asking for much.Any help is much appreciated.Thank You!
