I am building a switch board that will control a set of lights for my project. my plan is to have two boxes one with switches and one with a layout of the rooms of a house and an LED showing which lights are on and which are off. I'm am very new to Arduino and i would appreciate any help wiring up or coding.

Just confirm, you are not proposing to connect any part of this to the power mains, other than through a ready-assembled power supply?
Its a demo so no i wont be connecting to the mains
Hi, how many switches and what kind of switch (post a link please). How many leds? What kind of Arduino do you have? Why do you want to use an Arduino, why not just use the switches to light the leds?
