LIghting 75 led lights

I need some advice. I'm working on a project with an artist. We are trying to figure out how to light 75 LEDs with as little adapters as possible. Does anyone have any advice? I searched on blogs and couldnt think of a way.

We have fiberoptic strands that we are lighting up. and it will just be on with no special effects.

More details needed please. Wil you require control over each individual LED? Do you want to dimm them or just have on / off control. What sort of current do the LEDs take?

If "no special effects" means no individual control you might want to consider stringing them in series and having one current-limiting resistor (or constant-current driver chip) per string. There are some chips available for powering a number of LEDs in series that actually do voltage conversion for you, but need external components to work (and they are all surface mount too).

Strips of LEDs with common 12V rail are readily available in many configurations, this might be more what you need - some have individual serial control for each LED even.
