and I was wondering if it is possible to light up both red and green leds on the same spot to
produce amber color, I haven't manage to, i when both of them are connected only the red led
lights up.
Each LED must have it's own current limiting resistor. If you connect them to the same point only the red will light up because it has a lower turn on voltage and prevents the green from having enough voltage to come on.
I just tried connecting the anodes to the 5V rail directly and it worked, I guess I use the wrong
power for the matrix, what part would you suggest instead of powering the rows and the columns with 74hc959 ?
