I have 4.7 LilyGo T5 display with weather station. I like to add 3.7V Lion battery.
Do I understand battery concept correctly:
LilyGo is powered by 3.7 lion battery.
If I like to charge battery - everything what I need is to connect USB to charger?
I do not have remove batter to charge separately.
I measure voltage on battery connector when it is powered via USB - voltage was 4.2V
It looks like there is voltage regulator 5.0->4.2 voltage.
Thx in advance.
I am quite sure, the answer to your question is in the documentation from LilyGo.
Also look for the schematics.

I did check documents and schematics. I didn't find answer for my question. In some places battery refers to as backup power, My question was not about backup, but about charging battery as needed via USB port. I will try to dig dipper.
Thx
The schematics should show the battery charge controller used. Google for it.

But there might be experts for this in the forum.
