I was wondering if the blinkM could be wired to the Lilypad rather than the Arduino Duemilanove and if so can anybody please give me some pointers how to wire it up.

Check this post, its for ordinary Arduino, but i don't think there's any difference.

I have managed to plug a BlinkM into standard Arduino ( PWR power pins are analog pins 2 and 3 of the connector, I2C pins are 4 and 5 )and get it working but I am not sure that the blinkM fits into the same analogue pins in the Lilypad which only has 6 pins.
I will give it a try when it arrives.
