My project to have relays for six servo motors triggered by a humidity sensor. I was doing some research and I found about optocouplers that be used to trigger relays. The six servo motors would need a separate 12V power supply from the lilypad's 3V power. Do you think thats a viable option or would you recommend something else? I looked into the motor cover but I realized it wouldn't work with my lilypad. Thanks in advance!
What are the relays for? Servo motors don't just get turned on or off, like a fan. They get commanded to go to a position (unless you are talking about continuous rotation servos which aren't servos at all).
What servos are you talking about? Most servos need 6V, not 12V.
Why do you need optoisolators?
The relays are for six servo motors I want to activate through the optocoupler since the arduino can't power the motors. I want the coupler to activate the second power source that will in turn activate the servos.

Sorry that doesn't make any sense. Yes the arduino can not supply the power for the motors but there is no need to use an opt.
