Lilypad; trouble uploading blink!

Hi, I’m new to arduino and lilypad and am having difficulty getting started. I’m pretty sure everything is installed correctly and the drivers are working too. Using widows 7 I can see the com port show up when I connect my device. Attached picture shows the encircled green light begins to flash the moment the device is connected.

As I try to upload the TX red light flashes occasionally but the RX light doesn’t respond and soon afterwards I get an the following error. The green flashing light never stops even as I am uploading.

Error message copied below.

When I press the reset button, the green flashing LED switches off.

I am wondering there is something wrong with my board or FTDI basic. Any advice on how I can figure out what is wrong?

Try choosing Uno on the menu Tools, Board, and see if you can upload a sketch.

thank you very much to solve my problem, “Arduino lylipad” as “Arduino Uno” works perfect!

I think there is a counterfeiter out there putting 16MHz resonators on Lilypad. Or could be a legit manufacturer making an error.
