I'm sure there will be an announcement. I'm not normally the sort to eagerly await a product release, but you've got my attention here
I thought I'd post an update here. We have started putting information about the 3pi up on our website and have made it available for preorder. We hope to begin shipping orders sometime next week, at which point I'll make a more formal announcement. Documentation is a little light at the moment, but rest assured that work on a detailed user's guide and sample programs (including line-following and maze-solving code) is under way. We already have a 3pi library written (one version is compatible with the Arduino environment and another is intended for use with AVR Studio), but we need to finish up the documentation on that as well.
