Linino on modified WR703N

Has anybody got Linino working on a WR703N (modified: 64mb Ram, 16mb flash)?

A working Linino distribution for the WR703N would be nice!

Well, I think it's "cool" to extend the Arduino playground in the wide web.

That's what I like on the Yun, it gives new possibilities, in an easy way.

I have a couple of Arduino's, most uno's and mega's (and of course single atmel-chips to test). I also I have the modified WR703N, so the same linux hardware as Yun, but you have to add the external (usb) storage.

What's not cool on the fact to used that what's available, and adapt it to the new environment? Isn't that what Arduino is all about?

The problem is that I don't have a running linux system (and knowledge) to build a usable distribution, or even better make a package that convert a "normal" linux system in a Linino-compatible system.

My hope is that someone already did it, and is willing to give it to the community.

May be you can follow this link : http://www.dragino.com/blog.html. they are putting Arduino Yun inside their product.

@Priscilla: Nice link! I just have to find out how to enter the Uboot with the WR703N.

@lock: I can''t use a Yun, because I need the storage and pins of an Arduino Mega. So I have to find a solutiom, or wait another half year till there is a Yun-mega. And I don't need the GPIO's, just the serial connection for the bridge. The Linino part is just for the internet access.

And yes, the Dragino is a (good) choice, but not that different from the WR703N. So I still don't see a reason why it shouldn't work with a expanded WR703N. Seperate from the usb-switching for programm loading, etc. it's just software and mostly standard (lua, luci, python).

@cow77 I'm writing a blog on how I'm hacking the yun to attach an arduino to the usb port of the yun. This because -just like you- I don't want to wait for yun mega and I need a mega for my robot. A yun +-50euro and a linksys WRT54GL +- 50 euro are about the same price but yun has a sd, more memory, more disk and a smaller form factor XD. lock: a robot ? that's cool!!! photo!

I have a thread in the exhibition part of this forum http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=186329.0 And some more here http://gallerij.baeyens.it/#!album-3 Best regards Jantje
