link test

Hey all. Check out this site! It’s a really cool website I found.

I was trying to test how to post a word as a link on a webpage but obviously this did not work. I thought that I could just test it and then delete the post, but no-can-do Can anyone point me to a link that will show me how to do this. Like how Riva did here

where the word LedControl takes you to the LedControl page

By far the most popular library for the MAX7219/MAX7221 is LedControl. It has several examples included in the library download.

Thanks and sorry for "spamming" this page 8)

Thanks for the reply CB.

It seems like you are pointing me to the URL insertion option but I am trying to find out how to make a word act as a hyperlink in exactly the same way as Riva has done in the quoted post. I have seen numerous people do it on this forum and elsewhere but cannot for the life of me find out how to do it.

It is no big deal it just interests me, thanks Pedro.

You do exactly what Coding Badly showed. Then you get the results you want.

That is:  <the word(s) you want to appear as the hyperlink>

Thank you Coding Badly and Nick for your help and patience

Hi Pedro147,

The way I do the worded links is type the sentence including the word to link to. (I will put this in code tags so the site does not act on them)

By far the most popular library for the MAX7219/MAX7221 is LedControl. It has several examples included in the library download.

Then I select the word LedControl and press the insert hyperlink button

By far the most popular library for the MAX7219/MAX7221 is LedControl. It has several examples included in the library download.

Then move cursor between LedControl and insert an equals (=) sign.

By far the most popular library for the MAX7219/MAX7221 is LedControl. It has several examples included in the library download.

And finally paste the URL after the equal sign.

By far the most popular library for the MAX7219/MAX7221 is LedControl. It has several examples included in the library download.

and you end up with this without the code tags...

Hi Riva.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I did manage to do it by using Coding Badly and Nick's help, but it is always good to see someone elses technique.

Thanks a lot Pedro.
