Linking Two Linvor Modules

Hi, I know this question has been asked before in different ways, but I haven't found a solid answer.

I bought two JY-MCU Linvor modules, specifically these.

Every place that sells them says:

Coupled Mode: Two modules will establish communication automatically when powered.

However, this never happens.

Is there a way to make them establish a coupled connection? If not, how about master/slave?

And it never will.

The "linvor" module as you describe it is an HC-06, and is a slave only. You need at least one HC-05. The JY-MCU is a breakout board that is common to both devices.

And how do I determine if my boards are 06 or 05? Can't find it in the seller's description...

Definitely not by looking at them. It is best done when you buy it but, by default, the HC-06 identifies itself as "Linvor", hence my comment. HC-05s identify as "HC-05"
