Links included in code samples

I am trying to get rid of links automatically underlined in the Arduino code (comments). These links constantly take me to a webpage that does not exist, because they are examples.
How do I stop IDE highlighting them and turning them into links because they start with http???
I can edit the link, but not stop it being a link, as I want just text in the code.

I often put a link in my code in the comment header; it's indeed underlined like an url is but if I don't click on them, it will not take me automatically to a web site. So I don't quite understand. Can you post an example? And maybe a better description?

Which IDE version? Which operating system

If you can leave off the scheme and www subdomain then it will not be linkified.

For example, these are linkified:

// https://example.com
// www.example.com

but this is not:

// example.com
