Linux Distro Advantages

I'm setting up a Libre Le Potato and I have some choices of Linux distro:

  1. Ubuntu 22
  2. Debian 9 (Kernel 4.19)
  3. Armbian 22
  4. Raspbian 10 or 11
  5. CoreElec 19
  6. Android

Of those who have experience with any of these distros, are there any that either have issues running the IDE software locally or that are particularly well suited to the task?

This is what I am using. I have used earlier versions for years.
me@me:~$ cat /etc/os-release
NAME="Linux Mint"
VERSION="20.3 (Una)"

PRETTY_NAME="Linux Mint 20.3"

This came from the Terminal command "cat /etc/os-release"

I love Linux mint, but Libre doesn't have a distro for it on Le Potato. Do you know of one?

In Re Ubuntu: if you are running V16 and decide to upgrade to V18, you do not retain existing software and files. you start with a fresh format and you have to reinstall all software and restore all files from back up.

the image viewer does not show you thumbnails

IMHO that does not make it up to stupid. That is YUGO grade customer service.

You're pointing this out as a potential disadvantage to using Ubuntu in general?
Just clarifying.

I'm just stating a fact. It's still a better choice than giving Bill Gates more money.

Not to worry just because Libre doesn't have a distro for it on Le Potato you can download it from probably several thousand locations around the globe. Download it and put it on a DVD or Thumb drive and try to boot it up. If it runs it will probably install.

I'll give it a shot, I've never had much luck with SBCs when I stray from their distros.
Thanks for the tip.
