Linux Preempt_RT & TSN

Hi,

So far the Portenta is very suitable for doing heavy lifting on the linux side as well as capable of doing some realtime jobs on the microcontroller.

But there is one thing i am missing:

I am thinking of some use cases where time sensitive networking would be needed, as well as preempt-RT making it the ultimate choice for future projects.

All ideas on how to implement this are welcome

Take a look at LinuxCNC + (MESA or REMAORA). Or any of the OrangePi / BeagleBone / ... SBCs that have one ore more uCs embedded in their CPU core. You'd leave Arduino behind and crawl down a totally different rabbit hole :slight_smile:
