I had no trouble fitting together the positives on the battery to the charger, although I have no idea if the negative ends are made for each other.
The negative end on the battery looks like it has cuts allowing it to expand onto the pin in the connector. I don't want to expand it and mess it up, although maybe that's what I'm supposed to do so they fit?
Im not sure by the picture which connector is which, but regardless you are trying to merge two completely different connectors into one.
Having the same charger, I'm going to assume that the yellow connector is on the charger and the two leads are the battery. If you have multiple batteries with that style of connection, the smartest decision would be to find/make an adapter for the charger. If not, take the easiest route for you, but keep in mind that the yellow style connection is a bit more common.
As bracer pointed out, those are different connectors (edit: I see you're now sure about this yourself). The battery connector uses one male and one female type connection.
While it's a good idea to have a few adapters handy, I generally replace the connectors on the LiPo packs I purchase. All my big packs have the same type of connector.
BTW, if you ever cut a connector off a battery, cut one lead at a time.
