LiquidCrystal RW pin needs to be be connected

The diagrams on http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/LiquidCrystal show LCD pin 5, R/W, connected to ground but the text on that page, in the note, says "The R/W pin is not connected" and the HelloWorld example code does not mention a connection for R/W.

For the LCD displays that I have, R/W must be logic 0 (ground) for the device to work with that code.

It would be helpful for others faced with a blank display for these two documentation bugs to be fixed.

"The R/W pin is not connected"

This is poorly worded since they mean that it is not connected to the Arduino.

the HelloWorld example code does not mention a connection for R/W.

Why would they mention it, it is "not connected".

It would be helpful for others faced with a blank display for these two documentation bugs to be fixed.

If they did that it would put Grumpy_Mike and me out of business.

Didn't you notice that the example code in the tutorial bears no relation to the 'Hello, world!' program.?
