Live Can-Bus Data Display for a Car

Hello,

I'm new to programming, but hence I have done car ECU chiptuning for a year and therefore I would like to start with my own new project, which is called "Can-Bus Live Data Display"
So I want to read out specific Can-Bus data from the car ECU and display the data on my 320x420 TFT display.
But I do not know where to start really. I have but things together, and I have also managed to get the test screen also ready for my project.

So at the moment I have these kind of things:

  1. Arduino UNO R3

  2. Can-Bus Shield from Elecfreaks
    micro:bit Accessories Store | ELECFREAKS

  3. And a SainSmart 3.2" display
SainSmart | Desktop CNC, 3D Printing & DIY Tools | Power to the Makers – SainSmart.com

I think that I should start to read out all the raw data from a car using Canbus shield. For that I have found a Elecfreaks library to read out the raw data.
But how this should be done?
Write the code using Arduino IDE to UNO and then connect Canbus-H and CanBus-L to the car side and start logging? But where all this raw data goes, I mean how to log the data for csv file for example?

And after that how I could start learning how things are printed to the screen? Objects location on screen etc?

I made this thread to start learning and hopefully good ideas and guidances are kindly welcome
