LM 35D temperature sensor giving dramatically different readings on Arduino Uno

I hope that I am posting this question in the right place. I am creating a Motion controlled and Tempureature controlled Vent, using a arduino uno board, and a LM 35D temperature sensor. When motion is detected it takes the tempureature, if the tempureature is within certain parameters it will open (if vent is closed) or Close (if vent is open).

So here is the problem, when the tempurature sesnor reads for example 30 C, and this triggers the vent to open, and it opens. After that any reading I get from the tempurature sensor will be in the 60's region and will never come down. If I reset the arduino and have it start again, it will immedialty start reading in the mid 30s again. It will work consistently if it measures and triggers a closed vent. I am only having problems after the open vent application.

I have attatached the code directly from the arduino program. The code is a little sloppy and I apoligize for that, I am new to arduino and to coding.

LM35s output connects to an analog input.. Never write to it! - read it with analogRead.
Your variable_names are confusing.
