Location tracking using GPS

Dear sir,

"While stationary, you can average locations for 30 minutes to an hour to get an accurate stationary location." https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=469643.0

This line i found in forum. Is there any solution to get stable GPS co-ordinate using a cheap GPS module? If there any solution please provide me, it will be really helpful for me.I am new in this sector. It's my first project.

Only averaging.

Depending on your particular circumstances, many hours of data collection may be required for reasonable accuracy.

Record the output of a fixed GPS module, roughly every 10 minutes, for 1-2 days, and tell us what you find.

Do i have to collect the co-ordinate for my hole campus or a specific position of my campus?

While you are moving the GPS will only be able to give your location to within about 5 meters. That's the best you can do with a normal cheap GPS.

While stationary the GPS will tell you that you are moving slowly in random directions centered on your true location. The long term average of those random movements will give your true location to within a meter or two.

Record the output of a fixed GPS module, roughly every 10 minutes, for 1-2 days, and tell us what you find.

"fixed" means the GPS does not move. Try this experiment, you will learn much from it.

What did you learn from that experiment?

I learn that the GPS do not provide any stable co-ordinate but near by 10m co-ordinates.But is there any solution??

Whilst the averaging over a period of hours\days might allow you (eventually) to build a co-ordinate map of the obstacles in a particular area, it not going to help a lot in using a presumably hand held device to warn you of the position of the obstacles.

Unless of course you prepared to wait with the handheld device for some hours\days in the same position, so it can also do the same averaging.
