Yeah right, whatever it takes to keep him from running against Biden. Kangaroo Court so really who is surprised by the verdicts? So if I tell a Federal Grand Jury "I never had sex with that woman" and later it's proven that I lied should I be locked up?

Does this disqualify him from running in the election? Canadian here, not sure what American laws apply.
I believe these charges were politically motivated, however I also believe the charges are legitimate. I think at any given time a vast majority of our politicians (and likely CEO's and others) could be charged with some similar crimes. Trump just got into the cross hairs.
I also feel there are only 2 real changes:
- Paying off a person to hide negative reports during an election year.
- Trying to pass them off as legitimate business expenses.
Has Trump paid out of his "personal" account and specifying it as a personal expense, then the 2nd (above) charge would have gone away.
As for the politically motivated category I'm reminded of the policeman who stopped one of two drivers who were speeding. The driver that was stopped asked the policeman "what about the other guy" the policeman responded ..... but I got you.

He got caught in election interference and obstructing justice among 34 counts of what you don't want accounted.
I remember Nixon declaring whatever he said was Law. We're still not taking that though the far wrong right said it was!
1 and 2 were done in furtherance of Election Interference.
Since elections are political (if you cross your eyes and deny the law) then trying to uphold the law must be too?

When he was in office last time he appointed an Attorney General to block justice and only his cult denies he'd do the same only worse if he gets a chance again.

No I am not in denial. What I figure is Trump is guilty as sin and deserves whatever he gets. I also feel and agree with JohnRob in that all of this is politically motivated of course. I just figure if we are going to crucify Trump which he deserves we should start looking real deep into all of them. I will also add that things overall in the US were better under Trump than today. I see Trump as a poor choice as to nomination and I felt that way before.

3rd term? He doesn't want a 3rd term.....He wants to be dictator during his 2nd term!!! I think he should have 4 terms......in prison! Oh, and things were not better with him in power! He messed up almost everything he touched. He had his fingers in the Executive branch, of course. He got many of his minions into Congress and they still do his dirty work! He even influences the Supreme Court! And that's not even saying he insulted the leaders and people of our two neighbors!

Why was I better off under the Trump administration? Just for starters my grocery dollars went much further as did my gas dollars. Retired now and our investments were doing much better and the economy was doing much better.
What would his third term be like? Wouldn't it be his second term? A president can have two terms of 4 years each. I don't get the third term thing? That would depend on what he had for a congress. Personally I have no use for Trump but about now the same is true of Biden. I just saw myself and the country doing better under Trump. I don't want Trump to get the nomination but he will so it will come down to a Trump vs. Biden.
I doubt Trump will ever see prison but they will kill him off financially. He is already selling off assets to cover his legal bills. You want to hurt a rich guy? Nail them in the pocketbook.

The gas prices are set by global barter and trade, not by the President. Likewise the grocery prices are set by the market controllers, not the President, and they seem to be greedy and are charging too much because prices have not been lowered after the covid19 transportation mess. Many people are reporting that their investments are doing very well now that the DOW is at an all time high.

Its interesting that folks blame the sitting POTUS for current conditions. If you look into the economics of the country, the president has little control over it.
As for your investments, The S&P500 increase during Trump's time in office. (it started at 1900 and ended at 3225 increase of ~1325). In Biden's to date change (3225 to 5275 increase of ~2000). Al thought my guess is inflation drove much of the gain.
I think the real issue during the Biden term is inflation. Inflation I believe was triggered by supply issues due to covid and continued as big companies gouged the consumer. In either case I doubt Trump or Biden had much control over the repercussions of the supply issues.
Disclaimer: I'm not a financial analyst nor do I have an even partial comparison of the issues of the last 8 years. I was just trying to show the measure of the person in the presidents chair is not the sole driver of much of the economics. I doubt if Trump was to be elected you things would go back to the way it was in his previous tenure.
Remember how good the economy was when Clinton was in office? I can't identify what he might have done to make that happen. He was just lucky.
Nobody is crucifying him. He might get a time out that he's pushing hard for. He might get held accountable for ONE of many crimes we have seen him do and heard him admit to, something that anyone else would get real time for --- like guilty Cohen got for doing for Trump! Did you excuse him?
Trump has been pushing for get out of crime status. Nothing he does should have consequences, the Narcissist's Wet Dream.
He should get away with murder, his beotch herd should let him.

We had a pandemic that dip-ship called a hoax and did everything to spread. We lost a million Americans there was no need to have lost and at the same time we had to deal with the Taliban that Trump SURRENDERED to with dates set for whoever was in office to deal with.
I don't like everything that Biden did but at least he's not a Putin supporter and Putin isn't rooting for Biden, he's lovin Trump. In Russia, they celebrate Trump and MTG and they're pushing to eat their neighbors.
Ukraine isn't paying in green, they're paying in blood which is far more precious. D-head Donny wants to enable Putin and get himself into dick-tater club so he can be a big-d too. Between dictator and democracy, with Donny democracy loses, freedom dies and Law becomes whatever he wants. Are you too dumb to see that or is that what you want?
Do you want a dictator or not? That is the choice and Donny has made it clear. He's only free because his backers run interference for him against law as opposed to dictates.
A non-obstructive government would have SCOTUS accountable too.
Actually, one school of thought is that the judges know that letting Trump talk freely will cause him to release more insight into his organization. So they do not want to put him in jail. (Besides, if he goes to jail he will cry 'unfair' and his minions will pick up that cry!)
As far as the judgeship goes, there already is a restriction against impropriety. Most judges are very careful to live honorable lives to avoid being called to task.
