4-channel I2C-safe Bi-directional Logic Level Converter - BSS138
Because the Arduino (and Basic Stamp) are 5V devices, and most modern sensors, displays, flashcards, and modes are 3.3V-only, many makers find that they need to perform level ...

The page content claims that logic level shifting is possible 5V to 1.8V and vice verse. Looking at BSS138 datasheet, I'm not that convinced.
Some 1.8V powered devices may be 3.3V signal level tolerant, some may not be.
Anyone have personal experience testing this or similar boards based on BSS138 with 5V to 1.8V signal levels and vice verse?
Looking at BSS138 datasheet, I'm not that convinced.
Remember here you are not after turning the FET fully on. As the maximum voltage threshold is 1.5V then it is good enough for level conversion at 1.8V, just.
