Hello,
I am making a project in which involves needing coordinates to be sent from any point in the oceanic water (Pacific Ocean) to a point on land so I can track where it is heading. I am curious if anyone knows of a way to do this? I am using an Arduino DUE and can add anything if needed.
Thank you for any help or guidance.
Most reliable would be satellite phone I think. Could also be pricey. Got a sponsor for the project?
You can buy GPS locators that transmit their position every minute or so to satellites. Track the locator on a web page.

May need to hack it some for longer life battery, or solar charging, or something.

For the record, the SPOT device is currently on sale for US $75 and service is $149/year. REI.com has some very helpful customer reviews here.
