Hi Guys,
I'm the new member of this forum and this hardware whose name is Arduino.
I want to make RFID project but it has to work in long range. It means that my RFID reader has to perceive the tag 3-4 meters away.
What components I have to buy? If you write them with prices, I'll be happy.
Thanks for your interest.

An active RFID reader, with active RFiD (not passive) cards.

No, you won't. Active RFID systems are several orders of magnitude more expensive than passive RFID systems.
Maybe you can make a potato chip can antenna work like they do on TV.

Hmm I have to buy active RFID reader, it's good. But I don't know how can I determine it works with Arduino or not.
For example this RFID Hardware | RFID Systems - GAO RFID module's frequence is between 870-950 mhz but I don't know is it suitable for using with Arduino.
Can anyone choose the components which I have to use from this web site please?..

Do you understand that you have to buy active tags ?

Yes, there is no problem with them. My problem is about which devices is suitable for using with Arduino. I'm waiting answer to this question.
For example can you show one of suitable rfid reader and tag whose range between 3-4 meters.
What have you found in your google searches so far?

You will have to say what device first before anyone can say if it will work with an Arduino.
There are many different types of reader.
Also 870-950 MHz is not the only frequency you can get active RFID tags, maybe some of the others might be cheaper.

For example this one. http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/227232953/RFID_long_range_reader.html?s=p
It meets my needs. Can I use with Arduino Mega?

I want to buy Arduino Mega. Yes, 900mhz may be expensive but I said at start, I am newbie.
The link says:-
(3)RS232/TCP/IP ports
So yes using an RS232 to TTL converter it will work with an arduino.
It also says it has:-
3.Wiegand26/34
So that is another way to get an arduino to read it. That can be done with only two transistors to interface it.

if there is a ttl, it can be used with Arduino. Am I right?
Usually. Unless the current requirements are too high.
What does that have to do with RFID?

I just want to make car parking system. So it has to read the tag 3-4 meters away from barrier.

I got that from the first post. What I don't get is what the 433 MHz RF Transceiver is going to be doing.

Someone said me; "RFID reader's mhz is must be high" so I'm searching them. Is there any problem? If you have any idea or advice I'll be happy.

They were wrong.
You can do a car park entry system with an active transponder at any frequency.
That transmitter will allow you to make a transponder ( tag ) but will need one for every car and you need a receiver.

Can anyone advice me active RFID reader which can be used 3-4 meters away reading?
I want to use it with Arduino Uno R3.
I need hep. SOS.
Can anyone advice me active RFID reader which can be used 3-4 meters away reading
assuming you have googled
active rfid tags
What do you mean by advise you?
Do you want a list of tags and readers you can use?
ACTIVE WAVE RFID technology can provide independent, non-stop systems for parking, security, and access control.

Yes, googled and learned how it works but couldn't find products which are suitable for Arduino usage.
If you say; "You can buy this active RFID reader and tags..", I'll google them and search similar ones.

The only readers that are not sutiable for an arduino are those with USB connections or fire wire. All the others are.
