Hey guys... I'm posting this everywhere, hope someone will be kind enough to help!
I've submitted my entry to the Freescale's "Sense the world" contest and I made it to the finals! Now, the winner will be the one that collects more "likes" on his video until December 10th. If you'd like to help out a fellow Arduino user (and someone that used open software (Blender) and Creative Commons music to create his video), go to my video and like it. You might need to become a fan of Freescale on Facebook first, before you can like it. Just click "I like it" on their wall and it's done! That way you'll help me win... first prize is $10,000... that money would instantly solve all my problems... so you can only imagine how important it is for me!
Thanks in advance! And sorry for the pathetic begging
Guys, I'd just like to let you know that there are only a bit more than 6 hours left to vote for my video... I'm second for just a bunch of votes, so if you feel "Christmasy" and want to help another human being... go vote for my vid, thanks And sorry again for misusing this forum
No offense, but I do find your post a bit aggrevating..
I geuss it is purely the point you try to convey coupled with the 'force' driving it, implying that you are the only one using anything open-source. Thats nice and all, but is it really any better than using proprietary solutions that work just as well or perhaps even better? It isn't like you give the link to see all the entries, so we can't even judge the rest...
I for one hate voting for people because they 'did it like this' or 'did it like that', I prefer to vote for the one that deserves to win the most, cash prize or not.
Now I wouldn't vote in anycase since its on facebook, something which I avoid like the plague that it is.
No offense taken, you're right. I'm gonna apologize for the posts, but I guess it was like my mind was just thinking about the prize, no matter what... I was under the influence of a drug called money
Anyway, I've got a second place (2002 vs 2010 votes... that's what hurts the most, losing for a bunch of "likes", but it's ok), and it's over now.
There's only one correction I have to make: All the contests' videos were visible on the first link, so everyone could see every entry
Thanks again to everyone that clicked, and thanks to everyone else too for not asking a public stoning for me
