So I have a 1.3" (diagonal) LCD that runs on the SPI-based ST7789S, and not paying attention I thought it had touch capabilities but after I ordered it I realized it didn't. I started looking around and it seems as though there are no 1.3" touch-integrated (resistive or capacitive) displays which are easily usable with arduino anywhere on the internet. Due to some other parameters, I basically need a touch panel, resistive or capacitive, which has a 1.3" diameter.
If it is easier to make this myself let me know, but I would love to find one of these if anyone can track one down. I might just be completely imagining that this exists; if it doesn't exist let me know.
Some people's fingers are wider than that. You may as well call it a "button". Hide a tac-switch button under the PCB and allow the PCB mount some flex so you can press the button underneath.
I do actually need it to be a real touchscreen with a resolution higher than 1. I've seen them all the way down to 1.9". If nobody makes these, does anybody know of a way to make a touchscreen like this?
Peel the touchscreen element off a larger screen. Unfortunately it will not be easy to simply trim the edges off as the resistive touchscreen requires electrical contacts at all 4 sides.
I'm not sure if a capacative touchscreen could be trimmed and it is rare to see then in these small sizes.
