Looking for a compact 16x2 lcd display

Hi All,

The standard viewing area of a 16x2 lcd (appox 65mm x 16mm) is perfect for what I need.
However once the PCB and LCD frame is added it becomes too big for my enclosure.

Has anyone seen a regular 16x2 LCD with a smaller PCB and no frame around the screen?

Ive already seen the textstar display but the viewing area is too small at only 50mm wide.

What do you call a regular 16x2 LCD?

HD44780 compatible?

I recently got this 128x32 Newhaven Display

Viewing area is 36 mm x 12 mm

It has a ST7565 Controller (Graphics LCD). Support should be available (see Playground)
However I did not have time to connect it to my arduino board.
