Looking for a Digital Potentiometer

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can buy a Digital Potentiometer that is in the 1 Ohm range?

Thanks,

Cameron.

No such animal I'm afraid, they are all in the kohm range.

What do you want to achieve? Digital pots are not power devices, they are for
analog signal control.

Can you even find a non-digital potentiometer in the 1 Ohm range?

Maybe some Nichrome wire and a servo...

Could you not utilise a digital rotary encoder on a digital pin?

You can put a 1K digital pot in parallel with a resistor in the 1 ohm range.

I'm using an IN125 (amplifier) IC, and I need to put a resistor over one of the pins, and it's in the range of ohms. The less resistance the higher the amplification. I think i'm going to buy a 1k digital potentiometer and put a resistor is series (to bring it down into the ohms level) with the output.

What do you guys think?

Cheers,

Cameron.

I think a few minutes with a spreadsheet will tell you that it won't work very well

I think you need to explain fully what your requirement is - what you are trying to achieve, how the particular IC seems to suit the purpose, and give a schematic of your intended circuit - as well as a link to the datasheet of the proposed IC.

Only then can we suggest suitable ways to achieve not a "Digital Potentiometer that is in the 1 Ohm range", but a way to achieve your objective.
