Backlight, so you can read them easily well in total darkness or under a lot of sun.
At least three backlight colors to choose: Red green and blue.
I'd like to use 12, so the cheaper the better.
It would be great if it has not only a line or two of text, but a screen full of pixels to show simple "icons" like a triangle for "Play" or a square for "Stop" or text when needed.
I think that's it. Is there something like that out there? I haven't been able to find anything.
The DOGM128 can be combined with an RGB backlight, which probably is also used in the padelboard.
I personally would not call this rare, but it is probably not that cheap.
Cheap option, but has a ZIF connector only. So this will be a little bit difficult for a DIY project.
