I am working on something with the FC-51 IR sensor module. I need the datasheet for some research and I can't find it anywhere! Please let me know if you know where I can find it. Otherwise, if you know the intensity of the IR light that it emits, please let me know where to find that.
Thanks!
Are you serious? Do you not have Google? I searched for it on Google and found it immediately.
That obstacle sensor uses a common IR LED, driven with ~35mA constant current (100 ohm CL resistor).
You could get intensity@35mA from an IR LED datasheet.
Why?
Leo..
For serious research start the other way round, with a sufficiently documented emitter.
Or build your own measurement instrumentation first, for LED wavelength, aperture angle and intensity.

I could not find it, hence the question. I could not locate the datasheet for FC-51.

OK, fair enough but when someone asks something like this and I type into Google FC 51 datasheet and immediately get lots of results for exactly that I have to wonder what the person was doing to find it.

Thank you so much! That helps a lot. I need it to make sure my project is not dangerous to the eyes or skin.

Is it possible that anyone can stare directly into it at close range for extended periods of time?
