I've been searching for a while for a DMR module to be sending DMR SMS messages to a receiving DMR radio.
What I've found so far is this project: https://www.instructables.com/Arduino-Walkie-Talkie/ (with mentions of a chip called DMR828)
And this chip: The AUCTUS A6: the chip enabling inexpensive DMR | (and A7)
What I want to do is to regularly send DMR SMS messages to a spesific radioID on a given (VHF) frequency and timeslot. The project I've linked to is capable to do this, but this project is far beyond my usecase, as I don't need audio. The good thing about it is that I can look at Arduino example code. The other chip are a bit harder to find documentation for and I had no luck finding any arduino implementations with it - but it seems to be a cheap option.
Has anyone any experience with similar projects or experience on what kind of DMR module I should look out for?
