Looking for general guidance on the motor shield and general project guidance

Hello, I am wondering if some people can confirm that what I am doing will work or not...

First of all, I would like to explain that this project is for a "2 omni wheeled mini RC drone that DOES NOT FLY btw" the body of the drone will be made of laser cut wood.

I have an arduino uno that I will be using for this project. I also plan on adding on the arduino motor shield for driving two motors (more on the motor specs later)

(here's the hub https://www.amazon.com/UniHobby-UH18007-Coupling-Universal-Aluminum/dp/B0777PK16W/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1542778798&sr=8-2&keywords=motor+hub+6mm

(here's the omni wheel, It's the 4 inch wheel version and 2nd picture) https://www.vexrobotics.com/omni-wheels.html

I also am going to get the Arduino wifi thingie to allow me to control it from my phone.

I believe that the motor + hub + wheel bundle will all work together but I'd like more input on the entire setup... Also, what kind of power methods will I be looking at here for a decently lasting drive.

I can't picture how only 2 omni wheels can do anything useful. Are there other wheels on the robot?

The motor specifications don't list the all-important stall current. Given that the running current is 0.1A, the 2A motor shield will surely be able to handle it.

Batteries? AA batteries are surprisingly good. Work out what voltage you need and how many cells in series will make that voltage. Then get several battery holders that hold that many. Wire them in parallel until you get enough capacity for the runtime you need.

My plan is to allow the robot to move left and right in a straight movement instead of a turn. I haven't really done that before so If that wont actually work then let me know. Also, I will look into AA battery packs. Thanks!

You mean it can roll sideways without rotating the body of the robot?

You are buying 4 wheels and 2 motors?

Yes, 2 motors and 2 wheels.
