I have recently acquired a SIM300 GPRS module and I would like to control this with an Arduino UNO to send and receive text messages.
I am new to Arduino and next to clueless on the hardware side of things, so I am asking for help with how to physically connect the two devices together.
Should I build an adapter to connect them using the serial port connector on the GPRS module? Or is there a better way?
Also, to see if I'm looking at this right, for communication with the GPRS module, am I most interested in the RX, TX and ground?
And can I use any of the analog pins on the Arduino to read and write commands to communicate with this module, or should I be using the RX and TX pins on the Arduino?
I appreciate any help, and thank you in advance.
