Looking for IC analog SPST switch bank.

I am looking for an IC that contains as many SPST switches as I can find, preferably with a single logic control. I guess this might be a QPST or OPST, but I'm not even sure it exists. I would prefer a DIP package, and if I could find 8 or 16 switches, that would be ideal.

I am aware of the MAX395, which is a serially-controlled 8-channel SPST switch, but it seems a little pricey, and for my purpose a single logic bit control would suffice.

Any thoughts?

I could not refrain from smiling a little bit about your posting; for the uninitiated reader: An SPST is the most simple push-button imaginable...

You have most likely already read pages like this:

The main issue might not be the number of switches, but the electrical character of them (current, voltage, transients,...)

Why have you discarded the idea of just using a number of 4066 chips?

If your application isn't too demanding, the CD4016 might suffice, and they're pretty cheap and easy-to-find.

Thanks for the suggestions. I could use a number of 4066/4016 chips, but I am trying to switch on/off 30+ signals in a small area. I would prefer not to use 8 chips if I don't have to.
