Looking for International people to help out on a remote control project

Hi,
I am working on a app that uses the phones IR blaster to control home appliances.
I am looking for people who live in : UK, France,Germany,Argentina,Canada , Russia.
To help gather IR codes from local cable/satellite remotes.

Help would be much appreciated. :slight_smile:

The are lots of free resources online for codes...remotecentral & LIRC spring to mind.

The challenge with harvesting is the quality of the final DB. For example if IRremote is used the timings are all +/- 50 uSecs, before the innacurcies introduced by IR Receivers etc.

Of course you could just use a universal remote (eBay??) from each region, but I am not sure of the rights issues, if copying these.
