I want to carry out a school project to detect waterborne diseases, please what sensor can I use to achieve that.

I want to use Arduino to build the device and I already don't that of the PH level, temperature and turbidity of the water. what I need recommendation for is if there is any particular Arduino sensor/sensors I could use to test for waterborne disease.

To detect diseases, you would have to be able to identify pathogens.
Short of a powerful microscope, I can't think of any sensor that's going to do the job.
How is it done in your lab?
