Looking to control my Android phone's camera via Arduino OTG? How feasible?

I know it sounds creepy and nefarious but my intended goal is to use an Android phone as a body camera that's essentially strapped to somewhere on my chest and to be able to turn on the camera and begin recording via a mechanical switch. The idea is to be able to quickly record without having to look at the screen and perform the taps.

My hope is that I can wire up a toggle switch to an Arduino and connect that to my phone's USB C port. I'm prepared to write an app that will listen to the input from the Arduino and open up the camera and start recording.

Do you gurus know if this is feasible or if there are any obstacles that I may be unaware of?

Thanks in advance!

Probably easier to use a dashcam.
Not sure they record sound, but they start recording when powered.
