Oakville Ontario. I need you to be hear at my home to get this project done. I am building a prototype snake. I have 20 sensors and 24 servo motors. The body of the snake is automatic and the head and tail for joystick left and right. Head and tail are 10 servo's and the body can be from 20 to 2000 servo's with two at each vertebrae. Depending on the length of out snake. Starting with 20 servo's would be good.
Are you also designing a battery trailer for the snake to pull?
How much am I looking at? How long does it take? I have a million questions. I don't need to know how to code. I have a theory I would like to experiment with. It may be worth a Nobel Prize and it could be a dud. I need two somewhat simple codes I need written.
No, you need a program design long before code can be written.
e code need 5 servo to go 180 degree and five other going 180 degree on a joystick that has left and right turn.
That is a wish list not a program design specification.
the hardest one has 20 sensors and every sensor is mated to a servo that runs its pattern when its sensor goes off. 20 sensors and 20 servos. Should have an on/off switch.
It's not like i'm getting into the details on here. I am not being spicific on purpose. I am looking for someone to do this work. I know I don't understand the process. That is why I am hiring someone to do it.
Let me help get you started with the initial conditions for the program. List all the device connections and all the Arduino pins they are connected to and are the pins input or out put. That will begin the program specifications so the code can be started.
I'd think the first step would be to hire a program manager to act as an interface between you and any technical people you need.
Listen. If you can think of it, someone else has done it ten years ago. Quit thinking you have some highly-(Nobel)-prized idea. Just barf it up... why? I'll tell you why.
I had a job when I was young. My boss asked if I would do a specific task. I asked for a description. His answer was akin to your statement. Everyone else he picked said "no" after he described the task. He gave me the option to accept or reject the task, without a description. I knew the task would be trying, uninteresting, and no more compensated than an average day. I had until quitting time to decide.
I accepted.
He said I would report an hour before normal start, and should be prepared to be without rest, shelter, food or water for the entire day, under the summer sun.
I arrived.
He handed me three stiff-bristle pushbrooms and directed me to sweep the compound parking lot of about 800 slots (5 acres, 2 hectare) and dispose of the material. I destroyed two brooms to complete the job a few minutes before quitting time, all the while, everyone saw me from their comfortable work, all day long, in the sun. The next day I was everyone's supervisor. They were the luck ones.
Nobody wants to do your simple, unimaginative job without you telling the story of what you hope it to be.
What you put in the code would tell me what connections will be made. I give name all the parts I have.
Lets go with 10 servos to start. This project is to prove and idea. Once I have proof it works as I believe it will. I just need it as simple as I can make it to prove the idea.
Program coding cannot work that way. Someone needs to provide the plan for the code. And that not what a coder does.
I have that. Why do most of these responses sound like people went out of their way to misunderstand?
Why? It's because most of them have been hired to code a program and were given a multipage detailed specification.
If you want to build a radiocontrolled snake that actually moves then say that. If not, then say what your want to achieve. This is not a guessing game. You should say what you want and what you do not want. If you can't do that ... no use arguing, ist here?
@richard2336
Now your phone number is unalterably on the World Wide Web forever but that's another topic.
Are you proposing to fly a coder to your location and put them up in a hotel for the project's duration? You realize that this is an international group and doing that could run up quite a bill just by itself?
I suggest again that you hire a program manager to interpret your vagaries into usable engineering language.
Here's your snake.
I just need the program to run. If it works I can get investors. It's much more than a snake.
