Looking to Hire - Mini OV5642 Camera Work

Hi,

I have a need to build a simple camera. I would like to hire someone (or buy a working system with sketches) to work with the OV5642 Mini shield. It would be best if that person was within driving distance of Dallas Texas or Paris Texas here in the US. I can pay $75 to $100/hr or simply buy a working system, send me an offer.

I need the images to be saved to a SD card. I need a simple interface using a UART to tell the Arduino when to take a photo and save it as a BMP. The image rate can be slow.

I already purchased a Mega 2560, several OV5642 mini (from UCTRONICS) version B and SD card shield. But I would consider other versions of the Arduino.

You can see the set up at UCTRONIC.COM
Arducam Mini module Camera Shield w/ 5 MP OV5642 for Arduino UNO Mega2560 board

Thanks

Why not not just buy a DSLR and hack the electronic shutter release cable, it won't be slow the pictures will be far highre quality etc.

Thanks WWbrown,

I have looked at buying something we can modify but it must fit in a tube with a 1 inch ID. I also want to have options on replacing the lens.

The mini OV5642 comes with a lens mount which can be easily replaced. I also purchases all the different lenses sold by UCTRONICS.

This is a commercial development project. So, we are customer driven on our specifications. I assume, it's not hard to move the Arduino from prototype workbench to a commercial version.

I just tried the Arduino for the first last week. All of the shields I purchased with it, worked as promised. I was impressed.

However, this one from ArduCam does not seam to work. I'm hoping someone is working out the bugs.
