I used the Loop back test for my Arduino Pro mini 3.3V,8Mhz using CP2102 Break out board. I connected the jumper wires as you mentioned. Serial monitor didnt echo back any data i typed in serial monitor.
Here are few details which I would like to tell you so that you can help with the issue.
Connections for the loop back test
- Rx and Tx pin in the pro mini are connected.
- Reset and Grd are connected
- VCC(CP2102) to VCC(pro-mini)
- GND(CP2102) to GND(pro-mini)
no other connections.
CP2102 Drivers installed successfully.
After looking through your replies in the same thread, i connected the Rx and Tx of Cp2102 breakout board and RST and GND pins and found the serial monitor echoes back the data. So I am guessing the problem is with the Mini pro.
Mini pro LED's are blinking and When I try to upload sketch to mini pro using CP2102, it gives the following error, "avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00"
Please tell me if there any solution for the chip to respond.
P.S: I also did the loop back test for my ArduinoUNO as per the connections mentioned in the forum and the serial monitor echoes back the data.
Thanks for the help Bhanu Kishan
